What is GAMSTOP?
GAMSTOP is a national Self-Exclusion tool, which means that if you register and request a Self-Exclusion through them, then any accounts in the details you have provided to them will be excluded with all British licensed gambling operators.
How do I sign up to GAMSTOP?
To sign up for GAMSTOP, simply head over to their website here and register your personal details with them.
You can also call them on 0800 138 6518 (8am to midnight, 7 days a week) to register with them.
Will this close accounts I already have or just new ones?
Any accounts you attempt to access matching the details you have provided to GAMSTOP will be Self-Excluded, if you do create new accounts after the request then they will be excluded as well.
Does this replace the normal Self-Exclusion option on site?
It won’t replace a Self-Exclusion as each operator will still have their own Self-Exclusion policy in place. However, it will exclude you from all operators and not just one.
How long is the Self-Exclusion for?
As with an operator specific Self-Exclusion, the time period is set by you. The options available will be shown on the GAMSTOP website and will include exclusion periods of 6 months, 1 year, 2 years and 5 years. Unfortunately, we can’t see how long you’ve set this for with GAMSTOP, however, if you contact them, they will be able to provide you with this information.
Can I reopen an account once it is Self-Excluded via GAMSTOP?
Accounts suspended due to a GAMSTOP closure cannot be re-opened for any reason until the time period has expired. Upon expiry of the GAMSTOP closure period, you may request to re-open a suspended account by contacting our 24/7 Customer Support Team with the details of the account you wish to re-open.
Any request to re-open an account previously closed due to a GAMSTOP closure will be subject to our approval and a 24-hour review period. You may withdraw your request to re-open your account at any time during the 24-hour review period.
I’m already Self-Excluded, will you pass my details on to GAMSTOP?
We will never pass over any personal details to a third-party company. The decision to sign up with GAMSTOP must be your own.
I didn’t Self-Exclude via GAMSTOP but it says I did, who do I contact?
